Smart-key functions and emergency blades
Share the exact Lexus model and year, trim if known, and whether the vehicle has an inserted key or another start arrangement. The supported models are established during that review; no blanket year or module range is claimed.
Describe that limited request when contacting us. Blade support and electronic key work are assessed separately.
Identify the key system
Depending on the vehicle, the request may involve a mechanical blade, a transponder, a remote-head key, a proximity fob, or separately managed digital access. We check the actual system instead of treating a similar-looking key as interchangeable.
What to send before an appointment
- Lexus model year, model, trim if known, and ZIP Code.
- Whether the request is a spare, a replacement, all keys lost, or a remote problem.
- Whether a working key remains and which functions it provides.
- Part number or FCC ID for a proposed fob, plus whether it is new or used.
Customer-supplied keys & limitations
A supplied key is accepted only after compatibility review. Prior matching, locked electronics, incorrect parts, and vehicle restrictions can prevent reuse. Dealer-only procedures, connected accounts, and security-module work are not assumed to be supported.
Proof of ownership or documented authorization is required. Quote factors include compatible parts, cutting or matching, key count, all-keys-lost requirements, and the service location.
